Job Description:

We are currently searching for part-time Patient Care Technicians/CNA's.

The PCT's provide 24 hour supervision and individualized care to clients according to the residential clients' plan of care at the direction of nursing staff. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) will work as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team in coordination with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, behavioral health specialists, nurses, dietitian and expressive therapists

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and ensures compliance with Aloria Health's Clinical and Operating Procedures and Policies
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Eating Disorders, Chemical Dependency and other psychological diagnoses.
  • Has knowledge of and ensures compliance with regulatory standards including DHS and Joint Commission including National Patient Safety Goals
  • Monitors and/or implements safe, quality health care in the following areas according to policy and procedure under the direct supervision of the nurse manager or designee.
    • Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure team treatment and a therapeutic milieu
    • Establishes therapeutic relationships with assigned clients to facilitate following the individuals residential clients plan of care
  • Provides effective communication during the shift through activity such as:
    • Participates in report and utilizes information to provide individualized quality care;
    • Communicates milieu and client issues to the treatment team members during the shift and problem solves collaboratively;
    • Ensures compliance with confidentiality of client information.
    • Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meeting
  • Communicates effectively with multidisciplinary treatment team, clients and significant others
  • Follows the interventions as defined in the individuals' plan of care according to program policies and procedures
  • Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures and ensures that daily document includes interventions the client has utilized toward meeting their treatment goals at the direction of the nurse
  • Maintains client safety by appropriate implementation of safety procedures and precautions
    • Completes safety rounds and documentation in real time.
  • Supports the nursing staff and behavioral health specialists identifying the precursors of potential crisis and unsafe client behavior, and intervenes to de-escalate clients utilizing the least restrictive means of intervention
  • Promotes exceptional customer service throughout the clients treatment in residential care
  • Encourages active client and family participation in the treatment process
  • Follows the identified actions for any corrective action plan and quality improvement plans at the direction of the nurse

Job Requirements:

 Education & Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Psychology or other relevant field or in process, is preferred
  • Wisconsin CNA certification and currently on Registry, is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in Mental Health, particularly with Eating Disorders and Substance Abuse, is preferred
