Job Requirements:

~~Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated, hard-working, reliable Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate is a mission driven professional who is capable of adapting quickly to challenges and enjoys serving a diverse patient population. This position will be based in one of our three clinics in Kenosha, but we are also including an exciting new opportunity to allow your skills and personality to shine while serving the Racine community in our medical mobile unit 3 days a week. Whether your passion is solidly in a clinical setting, or perhaps you crave the occasional change of scenery, this could be what you’ve been looking for!
The selected individual will assist the physician with patient examinations, treatments and minor surgery; engage in procedure and diagnosis coding, medical terminology and taking vital signs; prepare the examination rooms and all needed equipment for each patient-restocking as needed; clean, disinfect instruments and supplies, and dispose of contaminated materials.
Additional Duties Include:
• Ability to gather clinical data In compliance with PCMH and MU standards
• Maintains documentation in clinic record to ensure accurate tracking of the patient medical treatment
• Prepares and Administers Medication and Immunizations
• Schedules/Informs Patients regarding procedures
• Follows procedure for handling various specimens/cultures
Additional Qualifications:
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant Program
• Ability to communicate (oral and written)
• Sitting greater than 50% of the time
• Walking and standing less than 50% of the time
• Occasional bending and lifting
