Job Description:

DAIS is seeking Variable Part-time Security Operations Associates. Availability on weekdays, weekends, 2nd and 3rd shift, and holidays is required.

DAIS is the leading provider of domestic violence intervention and prevention services in Dane County. Founded in 1977, DAIS has grown from its humble beginnings of five volunteers working out of a church basement, to an organization that provides comprehensive prevention and intervention programming to thousands of Dane County residents each year.

The Security Operations Associate maintains a presence at the secondary entrance, managing building access by visitors, and monitoring security systems. The Security Operations Associate serves as a first point of contact for visitors; controls building access by users in accordance with established security procedures; monitors building security systems; connects visitors to appropriate personnel; responds to client queries in a trauma informed manner; investigates disturbances; responds to emergency situations, and completes appropriate paperwork.

Job Requirements:

~~A successful candidate will have a minimum of two years reception experience that includes managing high levels of security and strict building access. Three years of security experience is preferred.  In addition a High School diploma or GED/HSED, some college coursework, and bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency is strongly preferred. Computer software experience (internet, Outlook, word processing, Excel, Access, and database systems) is beneficial. Experience working in the human services field strongly preferred.
