Job Description:

As a small law office, Watson Law LLC offers interns the opportunity to become directly involved in the broad range of legal matters that come into the office. We hope to create a challenging and interesting experience for an intern. Our small law firm environment enables an intern to experience a wide range of law, as well as, issues unique to small businesses.  Unfortunately, we are not able to pay our interns. We will cooperate in arrangements for college credit.
What You Will Learn:
  • How to run and market a small business and the challenges small businesses face
  • How to create a social media plan and marketing calendar
  • Relationship building with our online community by maintaining Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other media accounts
  • Direct marketing through mailings
  • How to build a client base
  • How to brand a business
  • How to create a budget for your business and track spending
  • How to conduct legal research
- Performs marketing, business development, administrative and office support activities for attorney
- creates and updates social media content
- maintain client database
- assist with accounts payable & receivable
- fields telephone calls
- receives and directs messages
- monitors and responds to emails
- files, prints and scans documents
- creates client files
- drafts letters and legal documents
- organizes and schedules meetings; and
- other general administrative duties


Job Requirements:

- Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel, familiarity with LexisNexis and Quickbooks is preferred, but not required.
- Must be familiar with Internet research and social media
- Must possess strong communication, writing and organizational skills
- One year college preferred
- Must have an interest in business development, marketing, communications and/or legal field
