We are seeking an enthusiastic and team oriented professional to join our Madison office as a Personal Banker! A Personal Banker is responsible for delivering a customer experience that is second to none!  The Personal Banker will provide new and existing customers with resources and solutions to serve all their financial needs and will work to grow relationships that are mutually beneficial for the customer and bank.  The primary responsibility for this position will be to develop and nurture customer relationships. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Bankers are expected to achieve full banking relationships with customers.  Therefore, being very familiar with ALL that SBCP has to offer is paramount to success in addition to maintaining expertise of all deposit and consumer loan products and services. 
• Process transactions such as cashing checks, account withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, etc. while properly balancing and maintaining a cash drawer.
• Follow through with onboarding new customers/new accounts.
• Promote and maintain positive relations with all internal and external contacts, customers and potential customers. 
• Meet established benchmarks for individual, office, and department.
• Actively participate in sales, office and staff meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
• Participates in community involvement/bank activities.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Ideal candidates will be relationship focused with the drive for success.  In addition, successful candidates must also possess:
• Associates degree in a related field and/or 2 years equivalent work experience in a customer services/sales environment.
• 2-3 years previous personal banking and/or consumer lending experience is preferred. 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with a diverse group of clients.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make good decisions
• Flexibility with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to put forth the extra effort necessary to make the office a successful operation: (i.e. working additional hours that requires evenings and weekends)
• General math competency: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
• Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner

This is a full time position with hours of approximately 8 am – 5 pm Monday-Friday with a Saturday morning rotation. Flexibility in scheduling may be needed on occasion.
