Technology Build Technician
Our client, a provider of hardware and software services is seeking multiple Technology Build Technicians to assist in the build of computer components and technology solutions that power the world’s most important devices.  This client builds customized technology and consults collaborative designs for new and high powered computing solutions. This role is located in Waukesha, WI delivers a pay rate of $13-$15 per hour based on experience and delivers full time benefits after 3 months tenure.  There are both 1st and 2nd shift openings for this role.
The key component of this role is knowledge of computer hardware and past experience building, updating or working closely with computer technology.  Past background, either on the job or as a hobby, in gaming systems, networking and building computers is highly desired.
The incumbent of this role will:
  • Deliver customer-specific products that meet high quality standards and customer requirements within a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate the flexibility to carry out multiple tasks contributing toward the delivery of products to customer specifications
  • Demonstrate proficiency and accuracy with assembly and process skills required to build product in a repetitive environment.
  • Accurately complete and follow detailed instructions and procedures, identify and select components, and complete paperwork and labeling.
  • Responsible for dependable attendance, punctual habits and maintaining clean and organized work areas.
  • Interface professionally with internal and external customers as well as provide customer support/training through hands on or technical presentations.
  • Specialize in pre-determined area of technology such as product hardware, product control software, operating systems, mechanical assembly/integration.
  • Assist with the standardization of products during the developmental cycle, leading to successful manufacturability, both hardware and software related items.
  • Maintain modern manufacturing techniques, utilizing the latest software/technology based equipment.
  • Identify, analyze, document, and communicate failures and irregularities in the process or systems being produced.
  • Work with a diverse group of co-workers, assist in training of other members and promote a strong team effort.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in computer related field or equivalent combination of training and in a technical capacity.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, computer hardware or related technology
  • Ability to work up to 10 hour shifts and including Saturdays as needed.
  • Ability to stand for entire shift while building computers at a personal workstation.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Certifications (any): MCSE, MCP, ACE (Unix), COMPTIA, CCNA, A+, or other industry recognized certifications.
