Production Supervisor

12 Months Contract (Extension or Perm Possibility)
Oshawa, ON, Canada
 
Level 1: 0 - 3 Years (of Supervising, Managing, Leading a team on Assembly Line)
Level 2: 4 - 8 Years (of Supervising, Managing, Leading a team on Assembly Line)
Level 3: 9 - 14 Years (of Supervising, Managing, Leading a team on Assembly Line)
Level 4: 15+ Years (of Supervising, Managing, Leading a team on Assembly Line)

Supervising, Managing, Leading a team: Can be defined as someone who has the responsibility of manaing and supervising a team of members - responsible for hiring, firing, taking disciplinary actions, managing the performances, solving and improving the working issues involving team members, all HR aspects, training and development, etc. 

2 Profiles - Ideal & Potential (Both Can Apply)

IDEAL PROFILE
Must have Skills – Most Required
-Supervising/Leading of team experience on assembly lines ideally in PRODUCTION or other AREAS
-Supervising/Leading of team experience on assembly lines ideally in Automotive, Aerospace or Manufacturing industries
-Any previous working experience in Unionized Environment (e.g. UNIFOR, CAW, Teamsters, UFCW Canada, etc.).  Does not have to be union member themselves
-Proven experience in delivering “JIT Just in Time” or “Lean Manufacturing” or any other relative process/quality/productivity improvement process and strategy while managing a team
-Proven experience in supporting/implementing the QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes
-Proven experience in maintaining corporate management control systems (Audit Reports and Information, Time Keeping System (TKS), Grievance Systems, etc.)
-Min Bachelor’s Degree or College DiplomaHR, Business, Psychology, MBA (Preferred)
-Flexible to work any shifts (Morning/Afternoon)

POTENTIAL PROFILE
-Supervising/Leading of team experience on assembly lines in any AREAS (For Example, COSTCO, WALLMART, McDonalds, Sephora etc.)
-Supervising/Leading of team experience on assembly lines in Retail, Distribution Centers or Manufacturing, Food industries (For Example, COSTCO, WALLMART, McDonalds, Canadian Tires, etc.)
-Any previous working experience in Unionized Environment (e.g. UNIFOR, CAW, Teamsters, UFCW Canada, etc.).  Does not have to be union member themselves (Highly Desirable)
-Proven experience in delivering process/quality/productivity improvement process and strategies while managing a team
-Min Bachelor’s Degree or College DiplomaHR, Business, Psychology, MBA (Preferred)
-Flexible to work any shifts (Morning/Afternoon)
