Job Description:

Provide crisis intervention, phone and in-person crisis counseling/support, personalized safety planning, and community resource referrals to victims of domestic violence utilizing crisis intake services at DAIS, which include the Help Line program (phone and text), LEAP (Law Enforcement Advocate Partnership) program, and Walk-in program. Help Line and walk-in services are available to victims and survivors of domestic violence, their family, friends, other service providers, and the general public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a 1.0 FTE hourly position, which requires day, evening, and weekend availability.  Become a part of our vibrant team by applying today!

Job Requirements:

A four year college or university degree is preferred, though relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
• Experience working with victims of trauma and their children.
• Experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with volunteers preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources in Dane County.
• Knowledge of domestic violence issues strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
