PART-TIME * FULL-TIME *  PRN
AM SHIFT - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
PM SHIFT - 2:15 PM - 10:45 PM
NOC Shift - 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Holiday pay is x 1.5 times regular rate of pay! (PT/FT only)
Vacation and Sick time accrual begins upon date of hire (PT/FT only)
Full-time employees (30+hrs/wk) receive health, dental, vision, LTD, STD, Life after 60 days of employment.

The CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care to assigned residents in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as facility’s established nursing care policies and procedures. Reports to Charge Nurse or other Nursing Supervisor.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
•Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the 8th Grade Level.
•Must be able to lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores.
•Observe residents’ conditions, measuring and recording food and liquid intake and output and vital signs, and report changes to professional staff.
•Collect specimens such as urine, feces, or sputum.
•Answer residents’ call lights.
•Provide residents with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
•Must be able to assist residents with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting.
•Bathe, groom, shave, dress, or drape patients to prepare them for treatment, or examination.
•Transport residents to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher.
•Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
•Prepare, serve, and collect food trays.
•Clean rooms and change linens.
•Answer phones and direct visitors.
•Perform clerical duties such as processing documents and detailing residents’ condition.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Works throughout nursing service area (i.e., resident rooms, nurses’ stations)
•Subject to frequent interruptions
•Subject to hostile, emotionally-upset residents, family, etc.
•Works beyond normal working hours, works weekends and holidays, and works other positions temporarily as needed
•Involved with residents, associates, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances
•Attends and participates in continuing education programs
•Subject to falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday
•Possible to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to the AIDS and hepatitis B viruses

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Computer Skills: Must be able to interact with automated resident information collection system.
Certificates and Licenses: Must be a graduate of a state approved CNA program.
Pay is based on experience.
