Job Description:

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing Services or Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

EDUCATION
Must posess, as a minimum, two (2) years college.

EXPERIENCE
Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a nursing care facility.
Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
Must possess creativity, integrity, and initiative.

HOURS
24-32 Hours per week - with the ability for flexibility to meet the needs of the facility.

Job Requirements:

MUST BE A REGISTERED NURSE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE STATE
CPR certification is required upon hire. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must posess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide training appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing training practices.
Must possess the ability to plan and develop new programs.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents and staff.
Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
