Job Summary
ADC Law Office, LLC is a growing solo practice criminal defense law firm in Kenosha, WI. I am seeking a motivated, organized and responsible Office Assistant to work 5-10 hours a week. This position is ideal for college students interested in paralegal studies, criminal justice, office management or those who aspire to go to law school. Hours are flexible so you can work around your school schedule.
In this position, you will perform clerical tasks, answer the phone, organize files and obtain discovery from the District Attorney’s Office and surrounding law enforcement agencies. Other duties include assisting with marketing, preparing documents, managing existing documents, and generally keeping the office organized, tidy, and running smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Request and pick up discovery from the District Attorney’s Office and surrounding law enforcement agencies
  • Answer phone inquiries, take messages, and provide basic information
  • Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc.
  • Update and maintain information in client management software
  • Draft documents and client letters
  • Update attorney’s calendar and schedule client appointments
  • Assist with marketing the law firm
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience handling office responsibilities, experience in customer service, or related field
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized multitasker who is a self-starter
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company
  • Available to work 5-10 hours per week between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday
