Job Description:

Horizon Construction Group is currently seeking a limited term (6-8 months) 30 - 40 hours week team member in our Construction Compliance team.  This opportunity is available due to our conversation of software from Sage to CMIC.  This position will be essentially responsible for construction compliance within our billing, lien waivers and contract processes.  In general:

Billing

  • Prepare owners pay applications with project manager assistance
  • Process subcontractor payouts
  • Prepare sworn statements
  • Track subcontractor paperwork

Lien Waivers and Supplier Affidavits

  • Ensure the title company has all required documentation to process pay applications.
  • Obtain all required 2nd & 3rd tier waivers and Supplier Affidavits on projects as needed
  • Conduct AR calls on suppliers

Contract Compliance

  • Verify contracts, W-9’s, and insurance/bond information on subcontractors have been received.
  • Miscellaneous monthly project reporting

 

Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of construction industry preferred

  • Billing experience is preferred

  • Accounting experience is helpful

  • Excel and Outlook is required

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, vendors and other third-party contacts, as well as with company managers and principals, owners, and all other office team members.

  • Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

  • Ability to learn multiple software platforms

  • Ability to interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team contributor

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
